We are a very friendly and extremely active group of lacemakers.... including bobbin and needlelace, knitted, tatted or crochet lace, based at the southern end of the Yorkshire Wolds, in the area around Hull, although we do have members from great distances away!
The group formed back in 1985, and March 2010 saw our 25th Annual General Meeting! Our Chairman, Maureen has a request: "It only seems like 5 minutes since the Society was set up. Were you there at the Inaugural meeting in Swanland? If you were, please share your memories with us. We would love to compile some memorabilia relating to the Society through the last 25 years. Have you got anything you can show us? (photographs, or any other items of interest. We hope to put together a folder of photographs and history of the Society. All contributions will be gratefully received, contact us via the 'Contact Us' page on this site."
Meetings are held 4 times a year (January, March, May and September) in St Johns Church Hall, Clough Road (the Church behind Sainsburys Local on Beverley Road Clough Road corner)) It's very easy to find, and if you need a map, just click on the 'red title' in our News and Events section!
We also hold an Annual Lace Day in November in Hessle. Details of this and our other events can be found in the News and Events section.
If you want to contact us for any reason, please fill in the form on the Contact Us page.
